Ancient Chinese Calligraphy

Calligraphy is an art dating back to the earliest day of history, and widely practiced throughout China to this day. It occupies a distinguished position in the field of traditional art. It is not only a means of communication, but also a means of expressing a person's inner world in an aesthetic sense. China National Philatelic Corporation has just released a set of 6 stamps " Chinese Ancient Calligraphy - Running Script " on 15th May 2010 together with a mini sheet ( rice paper).

World Expo 2010 Shanghai

China opens its World Expo 2010 in Shanghai on 10/5/2010 with its slogan " Better City, Better Life in Music and Dance.  Almost  250  countries  &  international  organisations  are showcasing  their  culture in this Expo.

A single value stamp together with a mini sheet was issued in " Commemorating  the Opening of  World  Expo, Shanghai 2010 on 1/5/2010. This stamp & mini sheet has been selling like hot cakes.
